PaidNote

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 20, 2026

Draft template, not legal advice. Have it reviewed before relying on it.

This policy explains how the PaidNote iPhone app ("PaidNote", "the app") and this website handle information. PaidNote is provided by Bradley Wikholm, 3965 Fouts Drive, Cumming, GA 30028 ("we", "us").

The short version

Information you enter in the app

You may enter business details (name, logo, phone, email, address, license number, payment terms, tax rate, brand color, payment link), client details (names, phone numbers, emails, addresses), line items, estimates, invoices, payments, recurring invoice schedules, notes, job photos and customer signatures. This information is stored in the app on your device. If iCloud is turned on for your device, the app syncs it through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) private database tied to your Apple Account, so it's available on your other devices. Apple stores that data under its own terms and privacy policy. We, the developer, can't read it.

Device permissions

PaidNote asks for permissions only when you use the related feature. You can change them any time in iPhone Settings.

Signatures and job photos

Customer signatures captured on estimates and job photos you add are stored in the app's database on your device and, if iCloud is on, synced only through your private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit private database). The app never uploads photos or signatures to us or to any other server, and we can't see them. They're included in PDFs only when you create and share those PDFs yourself.

Sharing documents

PaidNote never sends messages or emails to anyone. When you share an estimate, invoice, receipt, report or data export, you choose the app and the recipient through the iOS share sheet, and that app's privacy terms apply. Your payment link appears on your PDFs only if you add one. PaidNote doesn't contact or process payments through that service.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment card or Apple Account details. Apple may give us aggregated, non-identifying sales reports.

Diagnostics

The app contains no analytics or crash-reporting tools of its own. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may give us crash reports and usage statistics in a form that doesn't identify you, under Apple's privacy policy.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver and secure the site.

Contacting support

If you email us at support@getpaidnote.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it only to reply to you. We keep support emails only as long as needed to help you, and we don't add you to any mailing list unless you ask.

Children

PaidNote is a business tool, isn't directed to children under 13, and doesn't knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

Because we don't hold your data, we can't access, correct or delete it for you. You control it directly on your device and in your iCloud account.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If the app ever starts collecting data, we'll update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that version is released.
